Living in Pomeroon, I often reflect on the resilience of our people, from the time the Umana Yana was rebuilt to the restoration of our iconic Saint George's Cathedral. As a sailor, I’ve seen much of the world, but there's nothing quite like the feeling of home when the sweet aroma of cook-up rice wafts through the air or when the rhythm of calypso music fills the night. I cherish the connections I’ve made, both at home and with the Guyanese diaspora, who continue to celebrate our roots from every corner of the globe.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
