Greetings! My name is Rollin Glen, and I proudly hail from the vibrant region of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam area of Guyana. As a manager with a passion for fostering community development, I have dedicated my career to enhancing local initiatives that empower our people. Growing up near the lush Pomeroon River, I have always been inspired by the rich natural beauty and cultural diversity that our country embodies, from the warm hospitality of our people to the tantalizing flavors of our traditional dishes, like pepperpot and cook-up rice.
Having spent years working in various capacities within the community, I’ve come to appreciate the unique challenges and triumphs we face. While Guyana has embarked on an exciting journey of growth and development, I remain grounded in our roots, ensuring that the voices of our communities are heard. The recent infrastructural improvements, such as the new bridge connecting regions and the push for free university education, reflect the potential that lies ahead for our youth and the importance of education in building a brighter future.
As a proud Guyanese, I cherish the connections we maintain with our diaspora, especially those who fondly remember places like St. Monica and Cocorite Landing.
