Hello! I’m Romeena Dasrat, a proud resident of the Coast 8 New Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of this beautiful country has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our diverse heritage. From enjoying a plate of dahl roti—eaten by itself for that authentic taste—to savoring the rich flavors of our culinary fusion that reflects our Indian, African, and Indigenous roots, food is a central part of my life and identity.
