Hello! I'm Ronnel Gomes, a proud miner hailing from the lush landscapes of Essequibo, specifically the vibrant community of 1335 Block 8 in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the rich biodiversity of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our natural resources and the unique way of life that comes with living in this beautiful part of the world.
Aside from my work, I find joy in celebrating our local culture, especially through food. Whether it’s savoring a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or enjoying some delicious metemgee with friends, the flavors of Guyana are a big part of who I am. I also make it a point to connect with fellow Guyanese at home and abroad, sharing stories and experiences that keep our heritage alive. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of reminiscing about the stunning landscapes of the Kaieteur Falls or the tranquility of our rivers, like the Hoodoo and Karawab, while connecting with our diaspora community.
