Hello! I’m Rovena Gill, a passionate teacher based in Bank Essequibo, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been surrounded by the vibrant culture and the warmth of our diverse communities. From sharing delicious roti and curry with friends and family to celebrating Mashramani with colorful parades, these experiences have shaped my love for teaching and my commitment to nurturing the next generation.
Education in Guyana is not just about books; it’s about connecting with our roots and empowering our youth. I strive to instill pride in our rich heritage, whether it’s through exploring the beauty of the Essequibo River or discussing the significance of our folklore.
