Greetings! My name is Samantha Samuels, and I am a passionate teacher based in the serene community of Mission, located in the beautiful Barima-Waini region of Guyana. Growing up near the tranquil River Kabakaburi, I developed a deep appreciation for our lush landscapes and vibrant culture. My roots are firmly planted in this rich land, where the aroma of duck curry wafts through the air and the rhythm of the Pomeroons fills our hearts with joy.
As an educator, my mission is to inspire the next generation of Guyanese by instilling pride in our heritage while preparing them for the global stage. I often share stories from the winding rivers and settlements like Lower Pom and Paripi, helping students understand the importance of our history and environment. I believe that our unique experiences, from fishing along the Takatu Creek to celebrating our diverse festivals, shape who we are and connect us to our diaspora around the world.
