Hello! I’m Sankar Mangra, a proud carpenter from the beautiful Pomeroon region in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of this area, I’ve always found inspiration in the rich traditions of my homeland, from the tantalizing flavors of pepperpot and cassava bread to the warm smiles of my neighbors as we gather for local festivals.
As a carpenter, I take pride in crafting furniture that reflects the unique essence of Guyanese culture. Each piece I create tells a story, whether it's inspired by the silhouettes of the Essequibo River or the intricate designs reminiscent of our indigenous heritage. Working with my hands brings me joy, and I believe that to truly grasp the beauty of my work, one must experience the warmth of the Pomeroon community firsthand.
