Greetings! My name is Sasenaraine Bhagwanddeen, and I am proud to call Pom River Abram's Creek Upper in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a dedicated farmer, I work the fertile lands that have nourished generations before me, cultivating a variety of crops that are integral to our vibrant culture. Growing up near the heart of our diverse culture, I have always been inspired by the stories and resilience of my fellow Guyanese. Our history is marked by challenges, from the dictatorship era that drove many to seek new lives abroad to the rich influences of our indigenous, African, and East Indian roots. I often reminisce about the lively gatherings in Jones Town, where music, laughter, and the aroma of pepperpot and cook-up rice filled the air. Even now, I stay connected with friends and family overseas, celebrating our shared heritage no matter where we are.
