As a livestock officer, my work revolves around supporting our local farmers and ensuring that our agricultural practices honor the rich traditions of Guyana. You can often find me engaging with my community, sharing knowledge about sustainable farming, and celebrating the vibrant culture that makes our nation truly unique.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been fortunate to experience the beauty of our landscapes—from the lush rainforests to the stunning Kaieteur Falls. I cherish the flavors of our local cuisine, whether it’s a hearty plate of pepperpot during the holidays or the simple joys of cooked rice and fish. The warmth and resilience of our people are what set us apart. I often say, “Mannn YOU GOTTA COME TO GUYANA!!” because there's nothing quite like sharing a meal and stories with friends and family, especially those who have ventured far from home.
As a member of the diaspora community, I understand the importance of staying connected. I’m grateful for the friendships I’ve built, both near and far, and I cherish the shared experiences with people like my friends Desemonia, Melroy, and Rishi, who remind me of our cultural roots. I believe that no matter where we are in the world, our shared love for Guyana and its rich heritage binds us together.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
