Welcome! My name is Shabana Jagdeo, a proud businesswoman rooted in the vibrant heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up along the serene Pomeroon River, I’ve always been inspired by the rich culture and traditions of Guyana. From the warm community ties to the flavors of our beloved dpot with pork, which my grandmother still makes with love, every aspect of my life reflects the beauty and resilience of our people.
Having traveled abroad and witnessed various cultures, I cherish the uniqueness of our home. Although I’ve heard criticisms of Georgetown and the challenges we face, I remain hopeful for our future. I understand that, like many in our diaspora, I carry a piece of Guyana with me wherever I go. It is this connection that fuels my passion for contributing positively to our local economy and supporting initiatives that uplift our community.
