Welcome to my corner of the world! My name is Shenella English, and I proudly call Pomeroon, in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. Nestled between lush green landscapes and the meandering Pomeroon River, this area encompasses the vibrant spirit and rich culture of our beloved Guyana. Whether I'm back in my kitchen whipping up a delicious batch of bakes for my family or sharing stories that reflect our daily lives here, I strive to keep our traditions alive, especially for those in the diaspora who long for a taste of home.
Growing up in Guyana, I've always found joy in our diverse culinary heritage. From the savory richness of Pepper Pot to the sweet delights of cassava pone, I am passionate about sharing recipes and techniques that have been passed down through generations. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
