Hello! My name is Sheridon Scott, and I’m proud to call Pomeroon, Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated labourer, I’ve spent my days working hard and contributing to my community. Pomeroon is a place of rich culture and natural beauty, known for its lush landscapes and vital waterways, where the mighty Pomeroon River flows. It's not just a backdrop; it's a part of our everyday life, from fishing to farming, and it connects us to our roots.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always appreciated our local cuisine, particularly the flavours of rice and peas, fried fish, and the sweet treats that make our celebrations special. Whether it's a family gathering or a community event, the food we share is a significant part of our culture that strengthens our bonds. I find joy in the simple things, like exchanging stories with friends and family, and embracing the warmth of our diverse customs.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we've built around the world. I've had the pleasure of connecting with people from all walks of life, sharing our experiences, and celebrating our heritage. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
