Hello! I’m Syndilin Isaacs, a proud Guyanese sergeant residing on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, just 30 miles west of the Public Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, from the warmth of our Indian communities to the unique flavors of our traditional dishes. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a plate of dhal puri with curry or savoring a hearty pepperpot during Christmas, complemented by homemade bread, which truly represents the spirit of our local cuisine.
As someone who values community and connection, I believe that fostering relationships across different cultures enriches our lives. It warms my heart to see our Guyanese diaspora thriving and sharing their stories, reminding us of the strength we possess as a nation.
