Hello! My name is Terrence Paul, and I’m an electrician based on the beautiful Essequibo Coast in the vibrant community of Johanna Cecelia, nestled in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up along the banks of the Pomeroon River, I've always been inspired by the lush landscapes and the rich culture that defines our Guyanese heritage. From enjoying freshly made cook-up rice to celebrating the annual Mashramani festival, my roots run deep in this land. My work as an electrician allows me to bring light and energy to my neighbors, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than ensuring every home feels warm and welcoming.
I have a strong connection to our local communities, like the ones that gather around Karawab Creek and enjoy the serene beauty of River Waramuri Island. The stories shared among residents, whether during a Saturday evening lime or while fishing in the Pomeroon, remind me of our shared experiences and the importance of community. It’s these moments that keep us grounded, and I cherish every opportunity to contribute positively to our way of life.
As a member of the diaspora, I understand the challenges faced by those who’ve moved away, as well as the joy of sharing Guyanese culture with the world.
