About TERYICE JMO PRINCE

About Teryice Prince

Greetings! I’m Teryice Prince, proud resident of Pomeroon-Supenaam, where the lush landscapes meet the vibrant spirit of our people. I am deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, known for its welcoming communities, flavorful dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice, and the stunning sights of our natural wonders, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River. Growing up here, I have learned to appreciate the warmth and resilience of our people, who embody a unique blend of African, Indian, Amerindian, and European influences.

As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with our homeland, whether through festivals, culinary traditions, or the lively conversations that often revolve around our beloved Creole language. It’s heartwarming to see fellow Guyanese celebrating our culture, even from afar, and I take pride in sharing our stories and experiences, reminding the world of our rich history and the strength of our community. Just like many others, I’ve enjoyed the humor in watching non-Guyanese attempt to speak our Creole—it’s a testament to the uniqueness of our heritage!

Here, at Coast 141 Clarke Street, I am committed to fostering a sense of community and pride among my neighbors. I believe we can thrive by embracing our roots, supporting each other, and showcasing the beauty of Guyana to the world. Join me in celebrating our heritage, sharing delicious recipes, and highlighting the incredible potential of our beloved country, because Guyana truly is a place where good people gather, and great memories are made.
