Hello! My name is Winston Henry, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. As a dedicated miner, I've spent countless hours working in the rich landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam, where the spirit of our land is as vibrant as the diverse communities that thrive here. Growing up, I was surrounded by the natural beauty of the Essequibo River and the delicious scents of local dishes, like dpot and mate, which remind me of our rich culinary heritage.
Being a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we share with our fellow countrymen across the globe. I often see comments from those who have visited our beautiful nation, some expressing nostalgia and others concern for the current state of our capital, Georgetown. I understand their sentiments and believe that we must work together to revive the pride we have in our country.
