Hello! My name is Yvette John, and I proudly call Pomeroon in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Nestled in the heart of Guyana, this region is a treasure trove of rich landscapes, vibrant cultures, and warm communities. Growing up here, I have always been surrounded by the sweet aroma of cook-up rice and the delightful flavors of pepperpot, which are staples of our local cuisine. I cherish the lively gatherings where friends and family share stories, laughter, and, of course, great food!
As a resident of Pomeroon, I feel a deep connection to the natural beauty of our rivers and the lush greenery that defines our landscape. Having lived in both Guyana and abroad, I understand the unique bond we have with our diaspora, as many of us, like the spirited Guyanese in Barbados, carry a piece of home wherever we go.
