Hello! My name is Zonika Calistro, and I proudly call the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Living along the vibrant Coast 31 Public Road in Aurora, I am deeply connected to the rich culture and traditions that define our community. From the delicious taste of local dishes like cook-up rice and pepperpot to our lively festivals, every day here is a celebration of our diverse heritage.
As a resident of Guyana, I enjoy sharing the unique aspects of my hometown with others, whether through exploring the lush landscapes or introducing friends and family to the wonders of our local cuisine. Did you know that we refer to eggplant as "balangae" and some of us call callaloo "bahgi"? These little nuggets of knowledge reflect the warmth and humor that permeate our everyday lives. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
