Hello! I’m Agnes Fredericks, a proud homemaker residing in the serene Mission, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been captivated by our vibrant culture, rich history, and the breathtaking beauty of our landscapes. Whether it’s the lush greenery along the Pomeroon River or the bustling markets filled with fresh produce, I cherish every aspect of my beloved homeland, where every meal is infused with flavors like coconut water and pepper pot, reflecting our diverse heritage.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I often connect with friends and family abroad, sharing stories of our life here in Guyana. I love reminiscing about the wonderful moments spent enjoying our traditional dishes, and I take pride in introducing others to the unique flavors of our cuisine, often sourcing ingredients from our neighboring Brazil. Though we face challenges within our community, such as inequality, my hope is to see a united Guyana where everyone flourishes and has the opportunity to thrive.
