Hello! My name is Anessia Lewis, and I proudly call River Picker's Gill in Upper Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up alongside the Pomeroon River has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana. The warmth of our people, the rich flavors of our culinary heritage—like the ever-popular pepperpot and fresh, locally caught fish—are what truly define our culture. Whether I’m visiting the bustling markets in the capital or enjoying a quiet day by the river, I carry the spirit of my homeland with me wherever I go.
As a resident of this beautiful region, I am passionate about sharing my experiences and the stories from my community.
