Hello! I’m Cindy Redman, a passionate teacher residing in the vibrant community of Coast 22 Public Road in Mocha, Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up in this beautiful land, I’ve been immersed in the rich tapestry of our diverse cultures, from the lively sounds of parang music during Christmas to the delightful aroma of curry and roti wafting through the streets. My heart beats for this place, where the Essequibo River whispers stories of our ancestors and local markets buzz with life.
As an educator, I believe in nurturing the minds of our youth while celebrating our heritage. I often share tales of our unique landscapes, from the lush rainforests to the serene beaches of the Rupununi. I aim to instill pride in my students, reminding them of the beauty and resilience of our people. Whether it's through discussing our local dishes like pepperpot or exploring our historic landmarks, I strive to connect my students with their roots and the wider Guyanese diaspora.
In my spare time, you can find me volunteering at community events, sharing delicious meals with family and friends, or exploring the hidden gems of Guyana.
