Born and raised in the lush landscapes of Lower Pomeroon River, on Massarie Island, I am a proud Guyanese farmer deeply rooted in my community. My days are spent tending to the rich soil that nourishes our diverse crops, including cassava, plantain, and the vibrant spices that define our local cuisine. Here, amongst the winding rivers and the sounds of nature, I find inspiration in the traditions passed down through generations, from the hearty dishes like pepperpot to the sweet delights of a homemade metemgee.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I hold a strong connection to my homeland and the stories that weave us together. Whether it's listening to the tales of my ancestors or sharing the beauty of our rivers, like the Macrapana and the Pomeroon, I strive to bring a piece of Guyana to life for those far from home.
