Hello! I’m Corine Mendonza, a proud labourer hailing from the vibrant community of Essequibo Sideline Dam in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and rich waterways, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local culture, especially our delicious cuisine—there’s nothing like a plate of pepperpot or a comforting bowl of cook-up rice on a Sunday afternoon! The sounds of the Pomeroon River and the warmth of my neighbors remind me daily of the strength and unity within our diverse community.
