Greetings from the vibrant heart of Guyana! My name is Damman Mahase, a painter based in the beautiful town of Regina Essequibo Coast, nestled on 71 Paray Street Anna, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Essequibo, I draw inspiration from the rich culture and heritage that permeate every aspect of life here. From the bustling markets to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, my artwork reflects the warmth and vibrancy of our communities, celebrating the essence of what it means to be Guyanese.
As a proud Guyanese, I cherish our culinary delights, especially dishes like duck curry from Jackdashe restaurant and the myriad flavors found along the Essequibo. The spirit of our people, whether in the lively conversations at local gatherings or the shared laughter during family celebrations, fuels my creativity. Iām also passionate about fostering connections within the diaspora, encouraging those who have moved abroad to return and share their experiences with the homeland that shaped them.
