Greetings! My name is Dharmindra Mahadeo, and I am rooted in the vibrant community of Coast Riverstown Essequibo, nestled in the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up along the iconic Essequibo River, I have been fortunate to experience the rich flavors of Guyanese cuisine—whether it’s the beloved pepperpot during the holidays or the sweet delights of black cake that bring us together for celebrations. Our local markets buzz with life, and the aroma of fresh fish curry or cook-up rice often fills the air, reminding us of our shared heritage.
As a proud Guyanese, I hold a deep appreciation for our diverse culture, which reflects our history and the various communities that have contributed to our identity.
