Greetings! I’m Dwayne Naughton, a proud sailor hailing from the beautiful Pomeroon region in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich waterways of the Pomeroon River, I developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture and the warmth of our people. Whether it's enjoying a fresh plate of curry with roti (or as we fondly pronounce it, 'raw tee') or sharing stories with friends about our beloved landmarks like the iconic St. George's Cathedral, I take pride in my roots.
As a sailor, I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with fellow Guyanese across the diaspora, forming bonds that transcend borders. The camaraderie among Guyanese, whether at sea or in distant lands, is unlike any other. I cherish the lively conversations where we exchange not just tales of our adventures but also the flavors of home—like that unmistakable taste of pepperpot during the festive season or the joy of a good lime with friends.
