Greetings! My name is Fazal Mohamed, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. As a fisherman, I spend my days on the beautiful waters of the Pomeroon River, where the bountiful catch reflects the rich natural resources our land has to offer. The fresh fish from our rivers is a staple in many Guyanese households, and I take pride in contributing to our local cuisine, where dishes like "kingfish curry" and "pepperpot" hold a special place in our hearts.
Growing up surrounded by the vibrant culture of Guyana, I cherish the community bonds that tie us together, especially among those of us who have ventured abroad. Whether it’s sharing stories of our traditional festivals like Mashramani or the unique rhythms of our music, there’s a sense of unity that transcends borders. I often reminisce about the times spent at River Massarie Island, where the laughter and joy of family gatherings create unforgettable memories.
