Hello! I am Ishwardai Banarsee, a proud member of the Guyanese community, currently serving in the police force. I am based in Coast 95 Belle Street Anna, in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant cultures of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich heritage. From the sounds of the Pomeroon River to the aroma of pepperpot during festive gatherings, my roots are embedded in the traditions that define us as a nation.
My work in law enforcement is driven by a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens. I believe in fairness and equity for all, echoing sentiments shared by many in our diaspora who admire how communities support one another. We often discuss the importance of spreading wealth and opportunities, much like the socio-economic models seen internationally. Guyana may be a small nation, but our voices are strong and united in advocating for a better future for all Guyanese, both at home and abroad.
Beyond my professional life, I cherish moments spent with family and friends, often enjoying local delicacies like curry or bami and reminiscing about our childhood adventures along the beautiful shores of the Essequibo. Whether it’s sharing stories of Upper Pom or the serene views of River Grant Maureen's Dale, I take pride in our unique position as a part of CARICOM while celebrating our Caribbean identity.
