Hello! I’m Kishore Prashad, a dedicated boat builder hailing from the picturesque Pomeroon region in Guyana's Pomeroon-Supenaam area. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of our beautiful country, my work not only reflects the rich heritage of our maritime culture but also the craftsmanship passed down through generations. There's nothing quite like the feeling of using locally sourced materials to create vessels that navigate our rivers, connecting communities and preserving our way of life.
My heart beats for the vibrant Guyanese culture, especially the culinary delights that bring us together. Whether it's savoring a plate of spicy Pepperpot during the festive season or indulging in some sweet Salara at the Stabroek Market, food has a unique way of fostering connections among us. I often reminisce about the flavors of home, and I encourage everyone to try our local treats, like Metemgi and Pine Tart, to truly understand the warmth of our community.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the stories of our people, wherever they may be—whether they’re in Lower Pomeroon or abroad.
