Hello! My name is Kumesh Persaud, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast, specifically 70 Lima Sands, my home. As a mechanic, I have a passion for ensuring the vehicles that traverse our beautiful Guyana are safe and reliable. My workshop is a hub for friends and neighbors, and I believe in the importance of serving my community with integrity and skill.
Growing up in Essequibo, I've been fortunate to experience the rich culinary delights of our land—from mouthwatering cook-up rice and pepperpot to the freshest seafood caught right from our rivers. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends, sharing stories and laughter over a plate of fried plantain or some spicy curry. The beauty of our country, from the lush rainforests to the vibrant markets of Georgetown, fills me with pride as I connect with the diverse cultures that make Guyana truly unique.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I’ve made with fellow Guyanese around the world. Whether it’s reminiscing about our favorite local spots like Backyard Cafe or discussing how to properly pronounce “Essequibo” (which, let’s face it, can be a challenge!), I am always eager to share my love for our homeland.
