Hello! I’m Kurt George, a dedicated farmer residing in the beautiful Lower Pom River Grant in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the lush greenery and the rhythm of the rivers have shaped my life and work. Growing up surrounded by the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, I take pride in cultivating not just crops but also the traditions that define us, from sharing a plate of pepperpot to enjoying a Sunday cook-up with family and friends.
As a member of the farming community, I understand the challenges we face, especially with the rising cost of living that affects many of us. We work hard to ensure that our produce reaches both local markets and the diaspora, providing a taste of home to Guyanese living abroad. Whether it’s through the vibrant flavors of our local dishes or the stories we share, staying connected to our roots is important to me and many others who share similar experiences.
When I'm not in the fields, I love exploring the natural beauty of Guyana—whether it's the serene banks of the Pomeroon River or the bustling energy of Fort James Street. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
