Hello! My name is Leila George, and I proudly call Portion Manawarin Shepeira Manawarin in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a housewife, I dedicate my time to nurturing my family and embracing the rich culture that our country has to offer. From the vibrant colors of our local markets to the mouthwatering flavors of dishes like cook-up rice and pepperpot, I cherish every moment spent sharing traditional meals with loved ones.
Living in such close proximity to the Pomeroon River, I often find solace in its tranquil waters, where I reminisce about childhood adventures along the banks and the laughter of friends and family. The beauty of our landscape, with its lush greenery and diverse wildlife, including the playful manatees that remind me of Pokémon, never fails to inspire me. I believe that Guyana is vastly underestimated, and I hope more tourists discover the warmth of our people and the hidden gems of our nation, like the enchanting wilderness along the Amazon River.
