Hello! My name is Leron Fraser, and I proudly call Pomeroon, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant rivers of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our diverse culture and the rich flavors of our culinary heritage. Whether it's savoring a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or enjoying a steaming bowl of metemgee, food has always played a central role in bringing our communities together.
As a Guyanese resident, I understand the unique connection we share with our diaspora. I often hear stories from friends and family living abroad, like how a simple dish can evoke memories of home. It's heartwarming to see people like my friend Stacy, who, despite living in Canada, dreams of visiting Guyana to experience the warmth of our culture and indulge in our local delicacies. I think of our people in Jonestown, Upper Pom River, and how we all carry pieces of our homeland in our hearts, no matter where we go.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
