Hello! My name is Moti Lall, and I proudly hail from the Essequibo Coast, specifically the vibrant community of Back Street Andrews in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a dedicated labourer, I find fulfillment in hard work, embodying the spirit of resilience that defines us Guyanese. Growing up in this beautiful region, I have always been surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture that make our country so unique. From savouring local delicacies like pepperpot and cook-up rice to sharing stories with friends and family, my heart remains deeply rooted in the warmth of our traditions.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry with me the pride of our six nations—Indigenous, African, Indian, Chinese, Portuguese, and European—that contribute to our diverse heritage. I often reflect on the challenges our homeland has faced, particularly the exploitation of our resources, as highlighted by my fellow community members. Yet, in the face of adversity, we continue to celebrate our identity and uplift one another. I am passionate about sharing our culture with others and ensuring that the essence of Guyana is remembered and respected, no matter where we may be.
