Greetings from Pomeroon, the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam! My name is Omish Bashier, and I am proud to call this vibrant region of Guyana my home. As a sailor, I navigate the beautiful waterways that cradle our rich landscapes, from the lush mangroves to the bustling markets where you can find the freshest fish and locally grown produce. Each journey on the Essequibo River reminds me of our deep cultural roots and the rich traditions that define our way of life.
Growing up in Guyana, I've been surrounded by a diverse tapestry of cultures, especially during celebrations like Mashramani, where the streets come alive with music, dancing, and the exquisite taste of pepperpot and roti. I cherish these moments and often find myself reminiscing about the laughter shared over a good meal with friends and family. Whether it’s cheering for our cricket teams or sharing stories of the Pom River, these experiences strengthen our bonds, both here and within our diaspora community.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
