Greetings! I’m Parsram Takah, a proud Guyanese currently residing on Coast School Street in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. As a labourer, I engage in work that contributes to my community and embraces the rich, diverse culture of Guyana. We are often recognized as part of the Caribbean family, and that sense of unity extends beyond borders, connecting us with our neighbors in Trinidad, Barbados, and Jamaica through the CARICOM treaty.
Guyana is a land of stunning natural beauty, from the lush green landscapes to the vibrant culture that fills our streets. I often reminisce about sharing a warm bowl of traditional pepper pot with family and friends, a dish that embodies our unique culinary heritage. Though we have our challenges, as highlighted by many in the diaspora, such as the need for better markets and infrastructure, there is so much to love about our homeland. We are hard-working people, striving for a better future while cherishing our roots and local customs.
