Hello! I’m Peter Mahadeo, a proud Maracman hailing from the vibrant community of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the richness of our landscapes, from the lush riverbanks to the bustling markets, I have developed a deep appreciation for our local culture. Whether it's the sweet taste of a freshly made cassava bread or the thrill of a lively cricket match at the Pomeroon River, every experience has shaped my identity.
As a Maracman, I carry forward the traditions passed down through generations, celebrating our unique heritage through music, dance, and storytelling. I enjoy sharing the sounds of our homeland, with melodies that echo the rhythms of the rivers and the spirit of our people. I believe in the strength of our diaspora, where we connect and support each other, whether it’s through sharing recipes for pepperpot or discussing the latest happenings back home.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
