Hello! My name is Rondel Ammon, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a sailor, I've navigated the rich waters of our beautiful coast and have gained a deep appreciation for the diverse cultures that thrive here. Growing up near the serene Pomeroon River, I have fond memories of indulging in our local cuisine and sharing meals with loved ones. From the spicy pepperpot to the sweet, comforting black cake, our food tells the stories of our heritage and history. I believe that nothing brings people together quite like a good meal, and I carry that philosophy with me as I explore new horizons as a sailor.
Though I now navigate the seas, my roots remain firmly planted in Guyana. I often find myself reminiscing about the vibrant streets of River Grant and the welcoming spirit of my fellow Guyanese. I proudly identify as a Guyanese from South America, celebrating the unique blend of cultures that shape who we are.
