Greetings! My name is Salim Mohamed, and I proudly hail from the Essequibo Coast, specifically New Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a miner, I dedicate my days to extracting the rich resources that lie beneath our beautiful land. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our unique culture and traditions. From the thrilling sounds of cricket matches in the local park to the aroma of pepper pot wafting through the air during the holidays, these experiences have shaped who I am.
One of the things I cherish most about being Guyanese is our unyielding pride in our heritage.
