Hello! I’m Sunita James, a proud resident of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled between lush greenery and the serene Pomeroon River, my hometown is a reflection of our rich culture and resilient spirit. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant sounds of our community, I have always been inspired by the diverse influences that shape our local life—from the delicious aroma of pepperpot cooking during the holidays to the lively exchanges at the local markets. Though many outsiders sometimes paint a bleak picture of Guyana, it’s essential to see the beauty that lives in our people and traditions.
