Growing up in Guyana and experiencing life on the Essequibo Coast has shaped my perspective in many ways. We may be small, but our resilience and unique charm stand out wherever we go. As someone who identifies as Guyanese from South America, I carry with me the stories of our ancestors and the flavors of our land.
