Greetings! I’m Hilton Domingo, a proud Maracman from the serene landscapes of Karawab in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant country, where the lush green mangroves meet the waters of the Pomeroon River. Growing up, I was surrounded by the rich culture and traditions that define our Guyanese identity, from the mouth-watering flavors of pepperpot and cook-up rice to the rhythmic beat of the tassa drums during our lively festivities.
Being a Maracman allows me to connect with my heritage and share our unique stories, music, and art with others. Each performance is an opportunity to celebrate our culture, whether it’s at local events or through our Guyanese diaspora scattered across the globe.
