Greetings! I’m Michael Albert, a proud farmer based in the vibrant Lower Pomeroon River Paripi Settlement in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rivers of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our natural resources and the importance of sustainable farming. My roots are firmly planted in this rich soil, where I cultivate crops that reflect the essence of our culture, bringing the flavors of Guyana to life—from the hearty cassava to the aromatic rice and beans that grace our tables.
Living in Lower Pomeroon, I cherish the close-knit community that supports one another, reminiscent of the warmth found in Little Guyana abroad, where our Trini neighbors share culinary gems. Whether it's a gathering for a meal or a community event, there’s always a sense of togetherness that makes our culture vibrant. I believe in advocating for improvements in our environment and supporting one another, as we all strive for a better future for Guyana, including addressing mental health and ensuring our government serves the people effectively.
As I work the land and engage with the local community, I draw inspiration from our rich traditions and the stories of those who came before us.
