Hello! I’m O'Neil Thomas, a proud miner from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically residing on Middle Street Zorg in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My roots run deep in this vibrant community, where the mighty Pomeroon River flows, and the sounds of the forest echo my childhood memories. I’ve always been passionate about working with the earth, and mining has allowed me to contribute to our local economy while exploring the rich natural resources that define our homeland.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve developed an appreciation for our unique culture, especially our delicious cuisine. Whether it's savoring a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or enjoying a hearty cook-up with family and friends, food has always been a way to connect with loved ones. I find that even as I connect with the diaspora community, there’s a shared love for our roots, and it's heartening to see how we all carry a piece of Guyana with us, no matter where we are.
