Hello! My name is Ranford Chan, and I proudly call Coast 02 Public Road East in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a fisherman, I spend my days on the vibrant waters, where the bountiful rivers and creeks provide a livelihood and a deep connection to our rich culture. The sweet taste of fresh catch, expertly prepared with local spices, reflects the flavors that define our culinary heritage—something I cherish and love to share with friends and family.
Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by the warmth of our community. Whether it’s the cheerful gatherings over a plate of “Garfield” or enjoying delicious “Guyanese Chinese” dishes, I appreciate the moments that bring us together. From the iconic mangoes of Lower Pomeroon River to the spirited conversations about life in our beautiful land, these experiences shape my identity and keep me rooted in our traditions.
