Hello! I’m Collis Samuels, a proud Guyanese miner hailing from the beautiful region of Kariako in Barima-Waini. Nestled in the heart of the rainforest, my home is a stone's throw away from incredible natural wonders, like the majestic Kaieteur Falls and the lush landscapes that capture the true essence of our vibrant culture. As a miner, I work hard to contribute to our nation, and I cherish the bonds I've forged with fellow Guyanese and those in our diaspora who carry a piece of home with them wherever they go.
Growing up in Guyana has gifted me with a deep appreciation for our diverse heritage, from our delicious pepperpot and delicious cook-up rice to the lively sound of soca and calypso that fills our celebrations. There's nothing quite like the warmth of a Guyanese gathering, where we share stories, laughter, and perhaps a drink or two. Like many of my fellow countrymen, I take great pride in our friendly nature and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, whether at home or abroad.
