Hello! I’m Lyree Samuels, a proud miner from the vibrant community of Kariako in Barima-Waini, Guyana. My heart beats for the rich culture and spirit of our beautiful country, where the lush green landscapes meet the mighty rivers. Growing up surrounded by the stunning beauty of our land, I’ve learned to appreciate the simple joys, from fishing along the Pomeroon River to enjoying a warm plate of roti with curry—truly, nothing connects us more than a good meal shared with family and friends.

I cherish my roots and hold dear the memories of family gatherings where stories of our ancestors were shared, especially tales from places like Manawarin Dove Island South and Wakapau. As someone who is deeply connected to the diaspora, I understand the longing many feel to return home—to reconnect with their heritage and share the beauty of Guyana with their loved ones.
