Nestled in the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam area, I draw inspiration from the vibrant landscapes and rich culture that surrounds me. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our diverse heritage, which is a blend of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences. This unique mix is reflected in my artwork and my love for Guyanese traditions.
A true Guyanese at heart, I believe that no meal is complete without a side of dhal puri and a hearty chicken curry. It’s the essence of our culinary culture—a dish that brings families together, just like the beautiful rivers and mangroves that grace our land, such as River Mango Landing. Whether I’m painting or enjoying a meal with friends, it’s the connections and shared experiences that truly matter, echoing the warmth of our community.
