Hello! My name is Annastacia VanLewin, and I’m proud to call Pomeron my home. As a teacher, I am passionate about providing quality education to the children of Pomeroon-Supenaam, helping them understand the beauty and richness of our Guyanese culture. From the vibrant celebrations of Mashramani to the soulful flavors of our traditional dishes like pepperpot, I strive to instill a sense of pride in our local heritage while preparing my students for a global future.
Growing up in Guyana, I have always been amazed by our natural landscapes, including the majestic Cuyuni River that flows through our heart. However, I recognize the challenges our country faces, especially with the management of our vast resources. It is essential for us, as a community, to engage in discussions about sustainable development and to advocate for a brighter future for all Guyanese. The diaspora often shares their experiences and love for our homeland, and I believe we can harness that collective energy to bring about positive change.
