Hello! My name is Edward France, and I proudly hail from the scenic Pomeroon region in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. As a dedicated teacher, my passion lies in nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning that transcends boundaries. Growing up along the lush banks of the Pomeroon River, I carry with me the vibrant stories and traditions of my homeland, from the sweet aroma of cook-up rice to the rich sounds of our local folk music.
My roots run deep in the community, where places like Lower Pom River and Portion Manawarin remind me of home every day. I often reminisce about the warm evenings spent with family, sharing stories and enjoying freshly caught fish, prepared with a touch of our beloved spices. The bond I share with my fellow Guyanese, whether in the diaspora or back home, is something I cherish deeply, as we all celebrate our unique heritage and culture, no matter where we are.
Through my work, I aim to instill pride in my students about their heritage, encouraging them to embrace their identity while being open to the world around them. Each day in the classroom is not just about academics; it's also about instilling values of respect, resilience, and community, just like those I learned growing up in the heart of Guyana.
